The Villa
The Villa Bale Solah Located in an idyllic atmosphere among the rice fields and along with a picturesque view of the hills of the Gunung Rinjani National Park, Bale Solah resort is a luxurious and exquisite neo-colonial villa with a private swimming pool.

Layout
Inside the villa has a living area of 140 m2. Outside there is an additional 80 m2 of covered veranda on which you can relax and get that lazy tropical feeling.
There is an attractive living room. There are three bedrooms all of which are air-conditioned and have their own bathroom. Two of these bedrooms are normally available for rent. The kitchen is fully equipped and is separated from the main

living area by an open walkway shaded by a thatched roof. The swimming pool is situated in the rear in the lovely garden overlooking rice paddy and the hills of the National Park. Just take it easy at the poolside or have a swim and enjoy your hard-earned rest.

Location
Bale Solah lies on the edge of the village of Sandik-Tattoo. It’s about 1 ½ km from the beach and halfway between Mataram airport and the Senggigi tourist strip which is only 10 minutes away by car.

THE STAFF
The staff-quarters are at the front of the villa, near the entrance. Enggy and Anissa, the villa’s permanent staff, live here with their small daughter. During your stay they will see to it that the villa and pool are kept clean. They also make the beds, do the washing up and take care of the garden. This means you can really enjoy a carefree holiday.

Car and driver
Need a car and driver? Let us know and we’ll arrange it for you. It’s an optional extra in combination with the rental of the villa. The extra cost will be about € 35 (US $45) per day.

The prime Master Bedroom is located directly above the 25 meter pool and adjoins the private study and exercise room. This bedroom opens into a 6×6 meter, natural wood floor walk-in closet with a stylish bathtub and open-air shower facing the ocean.

The second Master Bedroom, perfect for children, is located next to the TV/Entertainment room. This bedroom has an open garden shower and 2 twin beds.
The third Master Bedroom, located at the front of the property facing the ocean, provides the greatest in privacy from the rest of the villa complex.

Living/Dining:
Qusia’s expansive living and dining area serves as the hub for the villa complex, centered between the 3 Master Bedrooms and next to the 25-meter pool.

A traditional ‘alang-alang’ thatched roof covers Qusia’s outdoor living and dining area with distinctive natural-formed teakwood tree-trunks used as pillars. The dining table is a single, square solid piece of Suar wood surrounded by stylish leather-stripped dining chairs. The spacious living area is a casual and relaxed area in which our guests can entertain or merely relax and gaze at the ocean and Bali’s Mt. Gunung Agung, surrounded by tropical mountains and coconut trees.

The living and dining area includes a state-of-the-art sound system for our guests’ enjoyment.

TV/Entertainment:
Villa Qusia offers state-of-the-art audio and television in its stylish 9×6 meter air-conditioned TV and Entertainment room with a 50” plasma satellite TV and a Bose surround-sound home entertainment system.

For communication, Villa Qusia has installed a Bang & Olufsen Beocom 6000 telephone system with handsets in each of the 6 major rooms. The handsets can be used not only for external telephone calls, but also for easy communication between you and your other guests.

Kitchen Facilities:
Villa Qusia offers a gourmet kitchen for use either by you, or by our personal chef who will create a memorable meal for family and friends.

Pool:
Considered one of Villa Qusia’s most spectacular features, the 25 meter infinity-edge overflow pool is angled directly at Bali’s Mt. Gunung Agung and the ocean, and is surrounded by the tropical mountains and coconut trees of Lombok. Like swimming on a sheet of floating glass, the peace and tranquility of a swim in the pool, accompanied by the stunning panoramic views, truly makes this an outstanding feature of Villa Qusia.

Security:
Although the Mangsit Beach area of Lombok is considered one of the most secure areas in Lombok, if not Indonesia, the Qunci takes the security and safety of its guests seriously.

Mangsit Beach is blessed with the presence of a number reputable hotels, including Qunci Villas hotel (a 5 minute walk from Villa Qusia). All of the hotels employ a number of local villagers thus strengthening the ties and feeling of mutual commitment and joint interest in maintaining the security of the area. So far, there have been no reported incidents of serious security breaches in the area.

Villa Batu Sisi offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. It has three bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning, a large sitting room with seating for 10 and a dining area with table and chairs for 8, both areas containing many interesting and unusual Indonesian artifacts.

The separate kitchen has a European type gas cooker. A maid, gardener and night security man are all included. Outside
The villa has a beautiful terraced garden containing many tropical plants and shrubs which is lovingly maintained by the gardener. The private 9mx4mx1.5m deep tiled swimming pool is a joy. The large shaded gazebo, adjacent to the pool, with its sun beds and deck chairs is the ideal place to relax. The gazebo has its own cooking facilities for el fresco living!

Coast/Beach
It is only a short walk to the nearest beaches – a 10 minute stroll – but, if you would like to go further afield, (the entire coast line is fantastic), then you can take the local bus or a taxi, both of which are incredibly affordable! This is a tropical paradise, so the choice is endless.

Travel
Mataram airport is served internationally only by Singapore Airlines, otherwise it is necessary to fly via Jakarta or Bali. Car or scooter hire is readily available from Senggigi, but it is up to you. Taxis and the little mini buses are so cheap that you might decide that vehicle hire is not required.

Distances
The village of Senggigi, which has many restaurants and shops, is about 3km. The only town (Mataram) is about 30 minutes by taxi or minibus. Mataram is the only town that has any sort of western shopping and has a modern shopping mall.

Ratna Wati Villa was named after the owner’s mother. It was built originally for Marcel De Rijk as his home, hence the comfortable homely feeling this villa exudes. Welcome to Cocotinos Sekotong, Lombok!
Cocotinos Sekotong LombokCocotinos Sekotong is located at Sekotong Bay, on the south-west side of Lombok Island. Guests arrive at the Seleparang Airport in Mataram and a 1-hour drive will bring them through busy but well-swept towns, lush green rice fields and verdant forests; the final part of the journey follows a winding coastline from the picturesque Lembar Harbour to a secluded beach at Tanjung Empet.

We have chosen this site because of its accessibility – the roads are paved and in good condition all the way from the airport – availability of electrical power and good telecommunication links. Furthermore the resort site faces three coconut-fringed white-sand islands, namely, Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkong and Gili Sudak. Fronting the resort is over 300 metres of white sand beach, part of which is within a private cove. While the northern Gilis (Trawangan, M eno and Air) are well known and developed, the 3 islands in the south-west are still unspoilt and idyllic tropical islands. Gili Nanggu which faces the resort directly is already reputed as one of the best snorkelling islands in the world by Silkwind magazine. Apart from the 3 Islands directly facing the resort, there are 10 other islands within an easy boat ride.

Cocotinos Sekotong is designed along similar principles to our first Cocotinos resort in Manado; but it will be grander and more luxurious while still maintaining that cosy and personalised atmosphere, which is now the signature of our Cocotinos brand. While our Manado resort is primarily focused on scuba diving (Manado being known by now as a diving haven), Cocotinos Sekotong will provide diving and much more. A new international Airport is currently being constructed at Praya in the centre of Lombok island and is scheduled to open in late 2010. In conjunction with the new international airport, a new ring road system will connect the new airport to Sekotong and Senggigi.

Tangkong Villa
The Tangkong Villa is located on the water’s edge with a stunning view of the ocean and 3 southern ‘gilis’, namely, Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkong and Gili Sudak. The bedroom features a king-size bed and the living room features an elegant rattan settee. Both rooms have large glass sliding doors that open to the wide verandah with an inviting plunge pool and timber deck that overlooks the beach and ocean; stone steps provide direct access to the beach.

Rinjani Villa
The villa is named after the tallest peak on Lombok island (2nd Tallest in Indonesia), Mount Rinjani. A 2-storey Villa with 2 bedrooms, plunge pool and a grand terrazzo bath on the top, located on the hillside overlooking the ocean and 3 southern ‘gilis’, namely, Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkung and Gili Sudak. Our Location
Cocotinos SekotongCocotinos-Sekotong is located in a secluded part of Sekotong Bay within South-West Lombok, on the promontory of Tanjung Empet, an hour’s drive from either the present airport at Selaparang in Mataram or the new international airport at Praya.

The coastal road swings out to the sea on the right, a small hill flanks the left and rolling hills guard the back of the resort, thereby creating a private sanctuary that prevents other developments from encroaching in the future. As such, the resort’s location will remain exclusive for years to come.

Tanjung Empet in the local Sasak language means a “Blocked Promontory”. Local geological records suggest that the resort and the small hill on the left was at one time separated from the mainland but over time the small stretch of water was filled in by volcanic dust, and other alluvial deposits, forming the land where the resort now stands. Part of the promontory is still separated from the land in the form of an exquisite little island called Gili Bererean which guests can explore during low tide. Around the island, shimmering stones called batu surat, can be found.

Sekotong Bay as a whole, is already a sheltered area, but the promontory of Tanjung Empet further protects the resort, such that even under high wind conditions, the resort’s beach is not buffeted by high waves, making it suitable for swimmers throughout the year. Cross-shore winds also render the beach ideal for windsurfing and kiting, providing launching conditions are ideal, especially when the tides are high.

Bangko-Bangko Desert PointThe view over the Sekotong Bay is simply breathtaking, especially when hiking atop the rolling hills which run back from the coastal road, a well-paved road that winds its way from the sheltered harbour at Lembar along a rugged coastline to the exotic fishing village of Bangko Bangko. Beyond Bangko Bangko, on the windward side of a hilly range is the world famous surfing destination of “Desert Point”, which boasts a sensational “tube” to challenge the experienced surfer.

South West Lombok, is characterised by a short wet season from Dec to March and a distinct dry season from April to November. Some years it hardly rains at all from June till October. The dry weather means that the surroundings can look somewhat windblown and brown during the North-European summer months but on the other hand, it has the advantage of promising blue skies for holiday makers who are seeking the sun and the sea. Conditions for boating, snorkeling and diving are also excellent during the dry season with clear water and high visibility.

Kampong Batu Leong SekotongThe nearest village from the resort is Pandanan, about one kilometer away. Here you can still find a simple and quiet way of life, with villagers tending to rice fields, vegetable gardens, and livestock. On the east of the resort is Tawun, the main town of West Sekotong, where locals come to get their supplies at the weekly market and barter produce. Tawun is also the place where local boats provide transfers to the nearby islands. There is also the nearby village of Batu Leong, the inhabitants of which are descended from Balinese who migrated from Nusa Penida and Karangasem in Bali. These Balinese anscestors later married into the local population, creating a unique mixed Balinese-Lombok culture.

Cocotinos-Sekotong is the first luxury resort to open in Sekotong Bay. The resort offers ethnic tours featuring the local culture as well as soft adventures, such as hiking and biking in the interest of travellers who wish to explore this beautiful location.

Surfing
Considered one of the best in the world, ardent surfers from all over the world flock here to ride one of the longest barrels on the planet. Desert Point aka Bangko Bangko is isolated in every sense of the word, but that has not stopped them coming in droves! Other surf zones include Air Guling, Gili Trawangan, Kuta Lombok, Mawi and Senggigi.

Cocotinos’ geographical location gives us a shoreline facing the north-east which will make any wind or kite surfer very pleased. In the months of May to October, south west winds averaging up to 7 knots crosses with a slight diagonal direction into our shoreline. During the months of November to April, the wind direction changes to orginate from the west with an average speed of 8 knots. Even with strong winds, our shoreline’s unique position does not allow big waves to build and at most, small white capped waves.

Climb Mt Rinjani
Scale Indonesia’s second highest volcano and bear witness to its stunning views. Not for the faint hearted, the climb to 3,726m is arduous but very rewarding. Treks to the summit take 2 to 3 days, and you will also come close to an active volcano that recently erupted in May 2010, surrounded by an azure crater lake that is about 200m deep.

Villa Penyu Located on the paradise island of Gili Trawangan at the quiet southern end of Sentral, Villa Penyu is Gili T’s only private luxury villa situated right on a sandy swimming beach . Just the round-island cidomo (horse and cart) track separates you from a pristine white sand beach with excellent snorkeling, while 50 metres offshore is one of Gili Trawangan’s best dive sites. Description of the villa.
Villa Penyu offers you a superior level of comfort and style.

Downstairs is an open living/dining/kitchen area plus the master bedroom with built-in robes and an ensuite shower and bathroom. Both living area and bedroom open on to a wide wooden sundeck with sun lounges and an outdoor shower for after the beach or pool. Upstairs is a central sitting area flanked by two large bedrooms, each with their own ensuite and shower. Both bedrooms and the sitting area open out to a wide balcony and there are luxurious daybeds at either end for curling up with a book or just admiring the view.

All 3 bedrooms are equipped with in-room safes, air-conditioning, and overhead fans and the ensuite showers and basins are fresh-water. Both the master bedroom downstairs and the sitting area upstairs have Satellite TV and DVD/CD players.

For a chilled-out drink and a close-up view of the surfing, hang out at The Surf Bar on the beach next door or stroll down to The Trawangan and relax in their ‘tree-house’ bales – great cocktails and beautiful sea views. Just three minutes walk back up the beach towards the wharf brings you to Villa Ombak and a further two to leading restaurants and bars including Scallywags, the Beach House and Tir Na Nog (the Irish Pub). Local Information:
Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three Gili Islands lying off the north-west coast of Lombok. Measuring 3 km long and 2 km wide, it has a local population of around 700. Although the most developed of the Gilis, there are no motorized vehicles on the island. Instead the main means of transportation are bicycles and cidomo (a small horse-drawn carriage), both of which are easily rentable. Horse riding is available through ‘The Stud’ ranch just five minutes walk from the villa in the southern part of the island.

For traveling to, from and between the Gilis, locals and visitors usually use motorized boats and speedboats. There are also several fast boat ferry companies (www.gilifastboats.com) that operate between Bali and Gili Trawangan direct (1,5h) or via Lombok (2h).

The private swimming pool forms the centre-piece of your garden, with a gently flowing waterwall at one end and comfortable sun lounges on the decking. Relax and enjoy a drink on the garden bale – a perfect place for a siesta or casual dining at night!.

Inside, the high ceilings and open plan living areas give a sense of spacious comfort. A fully equipped kitchen features microwave and stove, refrigerator and all modern facilities to make self-catering easy. Or ask our personal chef to prepare a special meal for you in your kitchen.

Two large bedrooms feature kind sized beds and comfortable furnishings. Each has its own luxurious bathroom, with natural stone finishing and semi-open air rain showers, using fresh water.

The living area comprises dining and lounge areas with glass doors overlooking the garden and swimming pool. A large sofa converts to bedding for two people. Entertainment facilities include a arge flat screen television with satellite channels, DVD player, a selection of movies and WiFi internet connection.

BREAKFAST
Coffee, tea and bread are provided in the kitchen daily, together with a toaster and other facilities. If you require a special menu, please discuss with our staff. We can arrange a personal chef to prepare your requests in the privacy of your own kitchen.

DRINKS
A refrigerator is supplied in your kitchen. Soft drinks, wines and champagne, beers and other beverages can be purchased through our staff.

ELECTRICITY
Electricity is 220-240 volts AC and Indonesian electrical sockets take plugs with two rounded pins. Adapters are available from housekeeping. As power cuts and blackouts are common on the island, we have a back up generator to restore power to your villa.

EXTRA BEDDING
A large sofa in the living room converts to two comfortable mattresses for up to two persons. Please discuss your requirements for extra guests with us when making your booking.

INTERNET
WiFi internet is available free of charge in your villa.

LAUNDRY
We can arrange for general washing and ironing services by laundry businesses on the island.

LIFE VESTS
For those not comfortable in the water, we have provided life vests for your personal use in the swimming pool or at the beach.

MEALS AND PARTIES
We are happy to provide catering and supplies for parties, buffets and special occasions. Let us arrange for a personal chef to cook you a delicious meal of traditional Indonesian foods, or prepare your favourite international meals. Please discuss your requirements with our staff at least 24 hours in advance.

PUSHBIKES
As no cars or motorbikes are allowed on the island, two pushbikes are provided free of charge for our guests personal use.

TELEVISION AND DVD PLAYER
Satellite television is provided in your villa. Indovision has a complete range of popular movie, entertainment, news and sports channels. A channel guide is located next to the television.

A selection of popular DVD’s are provided for your enjoyment. Please do not remove these from the villa. Copy DVD’s are also available cheaply from the street vendors.

WATER
Please do not drink water from the tap. Safe bottled drinking water is available from the water dispenser in the kitchen. Fresh water is also supplied to the showers for your comfort.

SPA AND MASSAGE
Rest and unwind with a relaxing massage or Spa treatment. Massages can be enjoyed in the privacy of your villa or we can arrange Spa treatments such as manicures, hair treatments, body scrubs and more at nearby Spas.
